In the first quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing app landscape in Austria on the Android platform showed varied trends. Here’s a look at how the top five apps performed, based on data from Sensor Tower.

• Uber - Request a ride by Uber Technologies, Inc., had a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, starting at about 2.6K and ending the quarter at 2.3K. Weekly active users decreased from around 53.7K to 45.6K over the same period.

• Bolt: Request a Ride from Bolt Technology experienced a decline in weekly downloads from 2.5K to 2.1K by the end of March. Active users saw a slight increase, moving from 24.9K to 26.3K.

• Grab - Taxi & Food Delivery observed a steady decrease in weekly downloads, starting at 499 and dropping to 262. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 19K.

• BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus showed a stable trend in downloads, with numbers hovering between 200 and 370. Active users increased significantly, from 3.7K at the start of the quarter to 4.1K by the end.
